About Me

Robert W. Smith

My professional roots evolved from a forty-year career as a Landscape Architect in Denver, Colorado. I was recognized as a leader, mentor, teacher, community activist, and environmental steward and inducted as a Fellow in the American Society of Landscape Architects for a legacy of innovative design and community service.

Drawing upon my dormant passion for helping others in need, and combining it with a game that has literally changed my life, I have embarked on a second career as an author and speaker. My mission is to provide a ray of hope for those suffering with Parkinson’s, a debilitating disease of unknown origin and cure.

My first book, The Parkinson’s Playbook, is dedicated to providing insight into this complex disease as well as all of the tools and treatments that have helped me to put Parkinson’s on the Defense.

“I know Bob very well. He designed my (NJ's) Korean and WW II Memorials, and I saw him decline during those years and have had the joy of seeing him rebound. I had the opportunity to review the draft of this playbook last year. If you have a connection to Parkinson's, you should take a look at this.”

"Bob continually brought a high level of excellence to his work. As a leader, he pushed the boundaries of landscape architecture while promoting advancement of his whole team. This book is another example of Bob’s interest in sharing his own achievements so that others can benefit from his hard work."
